The 06.1 Large Transfer Valve / Insert with TWINVAT has been developed to meet the special requirements of display production systems. Developed for high cycle production systems, the 06.1 combines an outstanding fast motion time for large transfer valves (≤ 2 s with 150 mm opening height) with resistance against process-related deposits that would limit standard valve performance. The 06.1 is designed for a high uptime and reliable operation over a lifetime of at least one million cycles.

The TWINVAT technology used for the 06.1 is based on a modular platform concept and fully optimized for the key display applications:

  • PECVD / ETCH: a special service position function allows one chamber side to be maintained under vacuum while the plate on the other side is serviced, greatly reducing service downtime. The TwinVAT sealing technology used by the 06.1 allows a shock-free opening and closing movement. The soft moving, double acting TwinVAT mechanism provides a uniform seal pressure along the complete seal surface, minimizing particle activation and seal wear. This reduces FFKM seal cost over the lifetime of the valve.
  • OLED/PVD: a special “ultra clean” version of the 06.1 further reduces the generally low particle count of the series.
  • Load-Lock: a special load-lock version of the 06.1 can handle full differential pressure.

The 06.1 series is available as standard transfer valve with housing or as insert version to be mounted directly into the process chamber.

The 06.1 Large Transfer Valve / Insert with TWINVAT is tailored to the exact customer specification like all VAT transfer valve solutions. These customizations can include an additional process control unit, special surface treatments like hard anodized or nickel-plated aluminum, other sealing materials, vacuum gauges to detect the pressure in the valve body, bellows protected shaft feedthrough, RF & DC grounding options for valve and gate, lateral mounting position of the actuators and more.
