Reliable Isolation for Contaminated Vacuum Processes

The 17.2 HV Gate Valve with Protection Ring is designed for reliable isolation in vacuum processes that have a high proportion of by-products in the gas flow. To prevent deposits inside the valve body as well as on the mechanics, the gate valve is equipped with a protection ring that slides into position when the gate valve is in the “open” position. This gives the valve increased durability and extended operating life, even under harsh conditions.

The 17.2 HV Gate Valve is equipped with VATLOCK technology which is specially developed to provide reliable sealing without any friction at the gate seal. The VATLOCK mechanism also prevents valve failures thanks to the mechanical lock-in at the closed end position.

Already installed in thousands of demanding applications under various process conditions, the 17.2 HV Gate Valve has proven its outstanding reliability. It has become the standard for vacuum isolation in contaminating processes in sizes from DN 63 - 320mm (2.5” - 12”). With its robust, lubricant-free design, it meets all of the requirements for a reliable HV Gate Valve.

The 17.2 HV Gate Valve has various actuation and flange connection design options so it can be easily integrated into any vacuum system. A wide range of special options are available such as ports for roughing, venting, or gauges as well as alternative sealing materials to ensure optimal fit for different applications. A further advantage is that the mounting position of the actuator can be specified in various positions to optimal fit into limited installations space.

The 17.2 HV Gate Valve with Protection Ring is available as manual version with hand wheel or lever as well as pneumatic, double acting versions with solenoid valves, either as an on-board solution or for external mounting. The solenoid valve’s standard voltage is 24VDC but other voltages are available upon request.

The standard options for flanges connectors are ISO-F, CF-F, ASA-LP and JIS. Customer specific flanges with and without water cooling can be integrated.
