VATLOCK
The locking procedure starts at the moment when the spring stop touches the body wall. At this point the ball cage starts to press the ball pairs out of their detents. The plate seal is pressed on the seat to uniformly compress the seal without sliding or friction. VAT valves featuring the VATLOCK system are mechanically locked in the closed position. Due to the arrangement of the ball pairs, the sealing force is increased as differential pressure is applied in either direction.

MONOVAT
Closing and locking are accomplished with one linear movement only. This is possible due to the 3-dimensional plate/seat construction.
Key features of this elastomer sealed sealing system for valves developed and patented by VAT are particle-free operation, shock-free motion and a very long cycle life.

VATTERFLY
VATTERFLY valves can at first sight easily be mistaken for butterfly valves performing a rotating movement only. However, they offer huge advantages over conventional butterfly valves. In VATTERFLY valves the gate first swings to the closing position without the gate seal touching the sealing face. Then, a pivoting movement is carried out over a patented crank mechanism. This ensures that there is no rubbing of the seal and therefore significantly increases the valve's cycle lifetime. VATTERFLY valves are a compact, economical alternative to gate valves. |

VATRING
The all-metal seat sealing system allows for large sealing forces with relatively small closing or actuation forces.
The sealing partners are stainless steels which are only elastically deformed despite the large sealing forces.
The VATRING configuration is suited for extreme vacuum and has under clean operating conditions a very long cycle life (100,000 cycles). It is bakeable to 450°C in the open and closed position. |

VATSEAL
This metal flange seal, developed and patented by VAT, requires only parallel flanges with carefully prepared flat sealing surfaces.
Circular, oval, rectangular or any customer-specified shape can be manufactured. |
